R I P Dark Valentine Magazine

I've just found out, via a link on  David Cranmer's blog,  that Dark Valentine Magazine is closing down.

Sad news. It was a classy magazine and I was lucky enough to have stories in it's first issue and the spring issue, as well taking part in their Twelve Days Of Christmas special.

Well, that's a bummer.

Damn - just one more casualty. Not enough good magazines left these days.....

Hi! Paul D.Brazill...
I wasn't familiar with this web-zine, but I did give it a "look see"...and it seemed like a very interesting website with a lot Of interesting features...
...How unfortunate, that the owners decided to close it down. However, I'am sure new adventures awaits them...just around the corner.

DV rocked. Sad to see it go. No one quite mastered the mix of fiction they had.

Indeed, sad stuff. I'm sure they'll be back in some form or other, though!

I just saw mention of Dark Valentine closing its doors over on Kattomic Energy.

I am very sad to see it go... there are some really amazing stories there.

I believe the first story I read over there was one of yours, Paul... Drunk On The Moon... a frightening little tale I thoroughly enjoyed!

I'm going to turn around now... someone please kick me!! I was working on a story to submit to DV back in April and I let myself get sidetracked... the damn thing was all but done too... (shaking head...)... I can't believe I did that...

(disappears in kitchen for a minute... sound of ice in glass... liquid pouring...)

Best wishes to Katherine, Joy, Joanne, et al...
