Above The Clearing Sky by Leon Jackson Davenport

Above The Clearing Sky

Leon Jackson Davenport is a prime mover in the Six Sentences writing community where economy of language is all important. With ABOVE THE CLEARING SKY  he gives us five short, sharp pieces of 'slice of life' flash fiction.

Stand Outs: What Do Dogs Dream? is the bittersweet tale of an old man looking back on his life; 15-Minute Celebrity is a glimpse at urban isolation;Mist is an atmopspheric chiller.

All five stories are perfectly piched and a good introduction to Leon Jackson Davenport's work. He looks good in a hat, too.

Bio: Leon Jackson Davenport is an Emmy nominated TV Editor, Fine Art Photographer and Writer. He has been published in The Burlington County Times, 6 Sentences, The Full of Crow Quarterly, Foundling Review and At-The-Bijou|Blogspot. His story (written as J.D.Blacque) was an Honorable Mention in the October Edition of Allegory.  Now, he is part of the Harbinger *33 group which will soon be publishing an anthology of short stories.

You haven't seen this usual suspect of late Mr Solender, because as Mr Brazill stated in his appeal, Leon Jackson Davenport just looks so good in that dapper hat. It'd keep him haunting all the usual suspected places, as himself or the intriguing protagonist J.D. Blacque, except for the fact he stays in and keeps writing and writing, and then writing some more.

I always expect MORE from Leon Jackson Davenport, who looks good as well, in a grin.
