NOIRCON 2010

 NOIRCON 2010

I was well chuffed last weekend when Lou Boxer, the criminal mastermind behind NoirCon, asked me to write something for the NoirCon 2010 programme.

And so, I did a  little piece extolling the virtues of BRIT GRIT writers like Tony Black and Ray Banks.
So what the hell is Noir Con, you may well ask?

Well, according to the  NoirCon blog :

'NoirCon in the purest sense of the word is a forum where all those who appreciate noir can come together to debate, plot, boast, or simply party with like minded individuals. It is a four-day journey into that abyss (usually in Philadelphia, the birthplace of David Goodis) that offers everyone involved an opportunity to have a helluva good time looking into the bottomless, downward void that is noir! NoirCon 2010 is scheduled for November 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th – 2010!''

George Pelecanos, Megan Abbott, Christa Faust and all sorts of  other cushty people will be taking part in Noir Con 2010 and wouldn't I just LOVE to be there?(Maybe one day ...)

Wouldn't you? Well, if you've got the dosh and the time ...

Congrats Paul, you’re all over the place lately and good on you for it. You can't beat a bit of Brit Grit!

Will you piece be published on the NoirCon blog or elsewhere so we can see it?

I need to stop writing cozy stuff and focus on the dark side, just so I can justify attending Noircon. It sounds excellent.
