NEWS FROM BYKER BOOKS

Top BRIT GRIT indie publishers BYKER BOOKS Have this to say:
' The Peoples Book Prize – we need your vote!
Also ‘Dumb Luck – The Launch’ and pics from the NAWG conference

Alreet,

Let’s get straight down to business – Maxwell’s Silver Hammer has been nominated for the winter 2010 ‘Peoples Book Prize’ and now requires your votes – if you’ve read it and liked it (and we haven’t heard of anyone that didn’t!) then please click the link, register with them and leave your vote. If you read it and didn’t like it you should tell us why but vote for it anyway and if you haven’t read it then you should buy a copy (cos it’s great!) and then vote for it…because frankly, we could do with the publicity!

We were recently invited to the National Association of Writers Groups annual conference at Durham University to sell our wares and talk non-stop to any unsuspecting delegates and a great time was had by all. This event also saw the debut of this years must have fashion item… the Byker Books T-Shirt! See the pics in our gallery or on our facebook page.

And last but most definitely not least. Our newest publication ‘Dumb Luck’ by Tom Arnold has been described thus :-

A rip roaring ride through the London the tourists don't see so hold onto your hats...and your wallets! Top quality stuff.

It’s being launched as part of the Chester Literary Festival at The St. Marys Centre in the town at 13:00 on Monday 18th October. He will be helping to kick off their programme of lunchtime meets with new authors and will soon be far too big to talk to us so don’t hang about – if you’re in the area come and say hello before he gets an entourage of steroid riddled minders and stuff.

That’s it for now – time to start the Christmas shopping I think….

Later

Ed

Ps – don’t forget to vote for our man Rivers in The Peoples Book Prize!'
